Happy New 2009

To all of my readers I would like to wish you a happy New Year, with the traditional, health, success, and prosperity wishes for the New Year. With health being the first for without health, there is not much else. Success will bring out the best. Prosperity will help you to retire early, what a great year I wish you all.
I’ve decided to create a few blogs to get the word out there in the world. The word, what word? In reality, it’s just a figure of speech. Now that I am a writer, there is a need to be seen to let people know that I have some great pieces of work to show them.
As well I thought it would be a good way to see how far I will be along in a few years from now. I find this to be a great way of learning how to understand more of the nitty-gritty of writing and research, as well as the marketing.
My latest piece of writing is a Romance fictional book.

‘Trouble on the Horizon’

The hero Damien Star a lawyer. From a small town named Horizon. He’d lost his beloved older half-brother Raphael Jr. an undercover cop three years prior. In a shooting involving Anita’s family, who lived some one hundred miles away.
Back then women were coming out of the woodwork. Claiming they were pregnant with his half-brothers child. Only the claims were unfounded. Now barely three years later the heroin Anita Handel proclaims that her child is his half-brothers child. Testing proved she was right.
Anita's twin brother wanted nothing to do with his father’s family business. Priesthood was his calling. By having been pushed into being the head of the family he was trying to change his cartel family into a family seeking out God. With a new gang rival trying to take over the town the younger cartels were refusing this turn about and decided to reach out where the money was. This in turn had caused her lover and twin brother's death.
Anita learned she was pregnant. For three years she worked with the police to put the gang rival and family members who participated in their demise away.
No longer having family she could trust. She wanted her two year old son to know at least some part of his immediate family. So she turned to her lover's family in hopes that if anything should happen to her. He would still have a close family member to hopefully take charge of him.
As Damien got to know Anita, he realized what he once thought was the perfect life was nothing more than -- an existence. Now with Anita and baby Ralph in his life he has finally found a reason for being, a reason to love. But trouble on the Horizon was seeking a way to destroy what was now his life -- his reason for being.
Monique a crazed woman from his past genuinely believed it was her right to be by Damien's side and decided she had waited long enough.
Then Monique created a precarious situation that brought about her demise, bringing Damien and Anita together again.
